المصدر 7 - في قرار أثار ارتياحا واسعا بين أهالي محافظة المنوفية المصرية، أيدت محكمة استئناف شبين الكوم، المنعقدة في مجمع محاكم وادي النطرون، الحكم الصادر بحبس سائق «التريلا» المتسبب في الحادثة المأساوية المعروف إعلاميا بـ«حادثة فتيات الطريق الإقليمي» 15 عاما.
كما أيدت المحكمة حبس مالك «التريلا» 5 سنوات، بعد أن أثبتت التحقيقات الإهمال الجسيم الذي أدى إلى مصرع 19 فتاة، إضافة إلى سائق الميكروباص، وإصابة 3 آخرين في حادث وقع في 27 يونيو الماضي.
من طريق العنب إلى نهاية مأساوية
كانت الفتيات، اللواتي تراوح أعمارهن بين 18 و25 عاما، عائدات في ميكروباص يقوده السائق الراحل إبراهيم محمد (45 عاما) من عملهن في محطة تصدير عنب بمدينة السادات، عبر الطريق الإقليمي الدولي، وفي لحظات، اصطدمت بهن «تريلا» عملاقة يقودها المتهم أحمد السيد (32 عاما)، ما أدى إلى انقلاب الميكروباص ومصرع الجميع فورا، باستثناء ثلاث مصابات نقلن إلى المستشفى.
التحقيقات أكدت أن السائق كان تحت تأثير مادتي الحشيش والميثامفيتامين المخدرتين، ويقود برخصة غير صالحة لـ«التريلا»، ما يمثل خطرا مباشرا على السلامة العامة، وفقا لتقرير النيابة، أما مالك «التريلا»، محمد عبدالرحمن (50 عاما)، فقد سمح له بالقيادة رغم علمه بعدم صلاحية السائق، ما جعله شريكا في الإهمال.
من الجنايات إلى الاستئناف
تلقت النيابة العامة بلاغا فوريا عن الحادثة وتم التحفظ على الجثامين، وأجرى الطب الشرعي تشريحا أكد أن الوفيات ناتجة عن الصدمات الشديدة والنزيف الداخلي. استمعت النيابة إلى 12 شاهدا، بما في ذلك خبراء مرور، وأثبتت تحاليل الدم وجود المخدرات في دماء السائق بنسبة تفوق الحدود القانونية.
وفي أكتوبر الماضي، أصدرت محكمة جنايات شبين الكوم، الحكم الأولي: 15 عاما للسائق بتهم القتل والإصابة الخطأ بالإهمال الجسيم (المادة 242 عقوبات)، و5 سنوات للمالك بتهمة التسبب في الحادث عبر السماح بالقيادة غير القانونية. واستأنف الدفاع الحكم، مدعيا «الخطأ غير العمد»، لكن محامي السائق انسحب لاحقا بسبب «تأنيب الضمير».
اليوم، أيدت دائرة الاستئناف الحكم كاملا، معتبرة أن الأدلة دامغة ولا مجال للتخفيف، كما أمرت المحكمة بتعويضات مالية تصل إلى 100 ألف جنيه لكل أسرة ضحية، ودفع تكاليف الجنازات والعلاج.
In a decision that has brought widespread relief among the residents of the Menoufia Governorate in Egypt, the Shabin El-Kom Court of Appeal, convened at the Wadi El-Natrun Court Complex, upheld the sentence of 15 years imprisonment for the driver of the "trailer" responsible for the tragic incident known in the media as the "Regional Road Girls Incident."
The court also upheld a 5-year prison sentence for the owner of the "trailer," after investigations proved the gross negligence that led to the deaths of 19 girls, in addition to the minibus driver, and the injury of 3 others in an accident that occurred on June 27.
From the Grape Road to a Tragic End
The girls, aged between 18 and 25, were returning in a minibus driven by the late driver Ibrahim Mohamed (45 years old) from their work at a grape export station in Sadat City, via the international regional road. In moments, they were struck by a giant "trailer" driven by the accused Ahmed El-Sayed (32 years old), which led to the minibus overturning and the immediate death of everyone, except for three injured who were taken to the hospital.
Investigations confirmed that the driver was under the influence of both cannabis and methamphetamine, and was driving with an invalid license for the "trailer," which poses a direct danger to public safety, according to the prosecution's report. As for the owner of the "trailer," Mohamed Abdel-Rahman (50 years old), he allowed the driver to operate despite knowing his unfitness, making him an accomplice in the negligence.
From Felonies to Appeal
The Public Prosecution received an immediate report about the incident and the bodies were preserved. Forensic medicine conducted an autopsy confirming that the deaths were due to severe trauma and internal bleeding. The prosecution listened to 12 witnesses, including traffic experts, and blood tests showed the presence of drugs in the driver's blood at levels exceeding legal limits.
Last October, the Shabin El-Kom Criminal Court issued the initial ruling: 15 years for the driver on charges of manslaughter and causing injury through gross negligence (Article 242 of the Penal Code), and 5 years for the owner for causing the accident by allowing illegal driving. The defense appealed the ruling, claiming "unintentional error," but the driver's lawyer later withdrew due to "a crisis of conscience."
Today, the Appeals Chamber upheld the ruling in full, considering the evidence overwhelming and no grounds for leniency. The court also ordered financial compensation of up to 100,000 Egyptian pounds for each victim's family, as well as covering funeral and medical expenses.
