المصدر 7 - تحولت وجهة سياحية شهيرة في تركيا إلى مسرح تحقيق عاجل، بعد وفاة غامضة لعائلة زادت الشكوك حول تسمم غذائي محتمل، ما دفع الشرطة لإيقاف أصحاب مطاعم تقدم وجبات مفضلة للسياح وسط حالة من القلق والترقب.
وكان سيرفيت بوجيك (37 عاما) وزوجته تشيغدم (26 عاما) وطفلاهما قدير محمد (6 سنوات) وشقيقته ماسال (3 سنوات) في زيارة سياحية لإسطنبول، قادمين من ألمانيا التي يعيش فيها ملايين الأتراك بشكل دائم.
وشعر أفراد العائلة في الفندق الذي يقيمون فيه بمنطقة الفاتح في إسطنبول، الخميس الماضي، بآلام مختلفة، بجانب الغثيان والقيء، لتتدهور حالتهم في المستشفى، ومن ثم يفارق الطفلان الحياة هناك، وتلحق بهما والدتهما صباح الجمعة، بينما يرقد الأب في قسم العناية المشددة بحالة خطيرة.
وقالت وسائل إعلام تركية إن العائلة تناولت عدة وجبات في مطاعم ومن باعة متجولين، بينها «تانتوني» وهو لحم مقلي، و«ميديا» وهو بلح بحر محشو بالأرز المطبوخ، و«كوكوريتش» وهي أمعاء مشوية، وجميعها مشهورة وتلقى إقبالا من السكان والسياح على حدٍ سواء.
ويعمل فريق من معهد الطب الشرعي في إسطنبول على أخذ عينات من تلك الأطعمة في أماكن بيعها التي قصدتها العائلة المنكوبة، بجانب توقيف الشرطة بائع بلح البحر المتنقل، وصاحب مطعم يبيع وجبات «تانتوني»، وبائع حلوى تركية.
وكتبت صحيفة «الصباح»، السبت، أن التحقيقات شملت توقيف شخص رابع بتهمة «التسبب بالوفاة عن طريق الإهمال».
كما استمع المحققون لإفادات وشهادات من موردين وطهاة لتلك الأطعمة، وموظفين في الفندق الذي كانت تقيم فيه العائلة خلال زيارتها التي انتهت بكارثة.
ولم يُظهر تشريح جثث الأم وطفليها أي أعراض مرضية ظاهرة أو دليلا على وجود تسمم غذائي، مع ملاحظة وجود كدمات في ركبتي الطفلين واحتقان في الغشاء المخاطي للمعدة.
ودفعت تلك النتائج المدعي العام في إسطنبول للتوسع في التحقيقات خارج فرضية التسمم، واعتبار الحادثة «وفاة مشبوهة»، ليبدأ مكتب جرائم القتل التحقيق في تهم جنائية مثل القتل أو الانتحار.
A popular tourist destination in Turkey has turned into a scene of urgent investigation following the mysterious death of a family, raising suspicions of potential food poisoning, which prompted the police to detain the owners of restaurants serving favorite meals for tourists amid a state of anxiety and anticipation.
Servet Bojic (37 years old), his wife Cagdem (26 years old), and their two children, Kadir Muhammad (6 years old) and his sister Masal (3 years old), were on a tourist visit to Istanbul, coming from Germany, where millions of Turks live permanently.
Last Thursday, the family members felt various pains at the hotel they were staying in the Fatih area of Istanbul, along with nausea and vomiting, leading to a deterioration of their condition in the hospital, where the two children lost their lives, followed by their mother on Friday morning, while the father remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Turkish media reported that the family had several meals at restaurants and from street vendors, including "Tantuni," which is fried meat, "Mide," which is stuffed sea mussels with cooked rice, and "Kokoreç," which are grilled intestines, all of which are famous and popular among both locals and tourists.
A team from the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute is working on taking samples of those foods from the places where the afflicted family dined, in addition to the police detaining the mobile mussel vendor, the owner of the restaurant selling "Tantuni," and a Turkish sweets vendor.
The newspaper "Sabah" reported on Saturday that the investigations included the detention of a fourth person on charges of "causing death through negligence."
Investigators also listened to statements and testimonies from suppliers and chefs of those foods, as well as employees at the hotel where the family was staying during their visit that ended in tragedy.
The autopsy of the mother and her two children did not show any apparent disease symptoms or evidence of food poisoning, although there were bruises on the knees of the two children and congestion in the gastric mucosa.
These findings prompted the public prosecutor in Istanbul to expand the investigations beyond the food poisoning hypothesis and consider the incident as a "suspicious death," leading the homicide office to investigate criminal charges such as murder or suicide.
